For those of you that have never heard of the Gulf States Camera Club Council it is an organization that consists of at least 35 camera clubs from Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
There is monthly competition in different catagories. The print catagories, Small Prints and large Prints, are black and white prints and color prints. They can be home processed or commerically processed.
In slides the catagories are Nature and Pictorial. There is also a Photojournalism catagory that is open to slides and prints.
Every month a different camera club judges these prints and slides. The winners are eligible to enter their work at the Annual Convention that is held in different cities every year. In 2001 the GSCCC Convention will be held in Corpus Christi, Texas from April 26 - 28.
